How Much Does Professional Porch Decorating Cost?
One of the first questions people ask when they hear about professional porch decorating is: how much does it cost? It's a fair question. We're not a giant faceless service. We're a small local company, and we think you deserve a straight answer.
Here's exactly how our pricing works, what's included, and how to think about whether it's worth it for you.
What Does Professional Porch Decorating Include?
When you hire The Charming Stoop, you're not just paying for pumpkins. You're paying for:
Design and curation. We assess your home's architecture, choose a palette that works with your exterior colors, and design a display that looks like it belongs. Not a random assortment of fall objects.
Sourcing. We know where to find the best heirloom pumpkins in the Triangle, which farms have the healthiest mums, and how to get quality dried botanicals and lanterns that will look great for the full season. That knowledge has taken years to build.
Delivery and installation. We bring everything to your home, carry it, arrange it, and adjust it until it's right. You don't lift a finger.
Takedown. In November, we come back and take it all away. No rotting pumpkins on your porch in December. No hauling.
That full-service experience (design, source, install, remove) is what our pricing reflects.
Pricing current as of Fall 2026.
How Much Does Each Package Cost?
We offer four packages designed for different porch sizes and budgets:
The Welcome — $349 Our entry-level package for condos, townhomes, and modest stoops. Includes curated pumpkins in two or three sizes, a seasonal mum or two, and a natural wreath. Clean, simple, beautiful.
The Charming Stoop — $549 Our most popular package. Adds lanterns, a fuller mum arrangement, and a more layered pumpkin display. Designed for a standard single-family home entryway.
The Grand Entrance — $849 For homes with a proper porch or extended entryway. Adds height with corn stalks or tall dried grasses, more pumpkins, additional mums, and more designed depth. This is the package that stops traffic.
The Estate — $1,199 Full-scale styling for large porches, multi-step entries, or homes where the porch is a significant architectural feature. Custom design, premium materials, multiple focal zones.
Is Professional Porch Decorating Worth the Money?
That depends on how you value your time.
A comparable DIY fall porch (the kind that actually looks designed, not just assembled) typically involves two to four hours of shopping across multiple stops (farm, nursery, home goods store), plus another hour or two of arranging. Call it a Saturday morning.
Then in November, another hour or two to take it down, dispose of rotting pumpkins, and clean the porch.
If your time is worth $50 an hour, a self-directed fall porch project costs $150–300 in time alone, before you spend a dollar on materials. Add $150–300 in actual materials for a mid-size display and you're at our Charming Stoop tier, except you did all the work yourself.
The people who find our service most valuable tend to be:
- Homeowners with demanding jobs or young kids who genuinely don't have the weekend hours
- People who want a beautiful porch but aren't sure where to start on design
- Anyone who tried DIY fall decorating and found it more frustrating than fun
- Families who want to enjoy the season, not spend it shopping and hauling
If decorating your porch is genuinely enjoyable for you, keep doing it yourself. But if it's one more task on an already-long list, that's exactly what we're here for.
